We have always been proud of the commitment and
dedication from our staff, especially in the last two
years, when there have been many changes at COS Direct.
With the help of Train to Gain all Account Managers will
be able to achieve
an NVQ level
3 in Customer Service which will recognize their
existing knowledge, skills and experience, as well as
further promote fantastic customer service for which we
pride ourselves.

COS Direct goes even greener |

|
In the last few months we have been consciously
making an effort to change our working practices and
environment to become a greener workplace. We have also
been promoting on our website about the benefits of
using more environmentally friendly office supplies. Our
latest project has been to change from posting invoices
to sending PDF versions via email. Many of our customers
have been happy to switch to this method and we will
continue to encourage this option.

Following customer feedback COS Direct has
extended its online ordering times for next day
delivery to 17:00 which is in line with our
competitors online ordering times. However our
customers can still make telephone orders for
next day delivery until 17:30 whereas our
competitors close their lines at 17:00.

COS Direct gets technical |
|

|
|
As part of our programme of improvement the first
stage was to upgrade our computer systems and
telephones. We now have a different operating database
which is much better equipped to hold our customer
details and manage our orders and processing. A new
telephone system has also been installed allowing us
better handling and monitoring of customer calls.

A new Director has joined COS Direct |

|
Lucy Sayer has joined COS Direct as Co-owner and
Director. Lucy has a background in education, training
and skills brokerage and brings to COS Direct experience
of helping businesses to grow. She will initially be
concentrating on Health & Safety, HR and improving
internal operations but will also be looking at
marketing and PR.

Mark Roberts the Managing Director
has now become the new owner of COS
Direct. With a drive to move the company
ahead of its competitors, we expect many
changes to come, making COS Direct the
premier supplier of office supplies in
the South East.

COS Direct launches the third phase of its new
online website |
|
| |
|
|
The third phase of our website was launched ahead
of schedule. It now includes a comprehensive range of
office chairs and desks with many of the items available
for delivery within 3 days. With this additional
increase of products to the site, we can now offer
customers over 30,000 items, making us the one stop shop
for all office supplies

Since the push by customers for more
green office supplies products, COS Direct has adapted the new website to include a range of
greener products. We have initially added 2000 lines and
we be increasing this range throughout the year. We have
also included options on the site to choose only such
products and a separate index to help with navigation.

Lead by example is our aim. We are currently
adapting our building and changing areas of our
business, where possible, to ensure we become a greener
organisation. This will be an ongoing process and will
assist us to be able to achieve the ISO14001 award which
we hope to attain within the next two years.

With the
previous Managing Director resigning in May 2008, Mark
Roberts was appointed the new Managing Director. He was
previously the Sale Manager and has over 18 years within
the business. Mark brings a new drive to the success of
COS Direct UK office supplies and will be looking to improve
several areas of the business.

Expanding the sales force |

We welcome Dan King to our sales force. Primarily
he will be located in East Sussex, and will be
concentrating on acquiring new business. Dan comes with
a keen focus on customer service and understands that in
order to be successful, good b2b relationships is key.

Donna Bradford has joined our sales
administration team and will be responsible for handling
telephone sales and enquiries. She brings to COS Direct
several years customer service experience and a
determination to continually seek ways of improving our
service.
